Get cooking!  Bone broth is both traditional medicine and newly in vogue.  Grandma was right! Watch this short demo and discover how easy it is to create this delicious and nutritious delicacy.

Known as bone broth, stock, or just broth, the result is delicious, nutritious, and absolutely a cinch to make.  They all involve a long and slow cooking process to allow the release of nutrients from the bones, including the richness of minerals and protein.    If you have ever wondered why chicken soup is good for a cold, there is quality science to answer your questions.  Bone broths are convenient and inexpensive.  ARE YOU READY TO LIVE YOUNGER LONGER?  Here is a basic recipe to get started:

  • One whole  organic chicken, uncooked
  • Organic Celery, including leaves
  • Large white or yellow organic onion
  • 4-6 cloves organic garlic
  • Salt and Pepper

Place the chicken in a large crockpot first with the back down.   Add remaining ingredients, cover completely with water,  and cook on high for approximately 6 hours.

Using a funnel and strainer,  pour up chicken broth into quart jars.  If freezing, leave room for expansion to avoid glass breakage.  (Ask me how I know!)

Bone chicken and put the bones back into the crockpot.  Store chicken meat in the refrigerator for  later.  It is yummy!

Add fresh celery, onion, garlic, salt and pepper to the bones and cover with water.  Cook on low for about 10 hours.

Strain DIY bone broth into quart jars and enjoy as a hot beverage, in soups and stews, etc.
