Today we’re talking about something we can all relate to – overeating! Today I’m going to give you some simple strategies to slow down when you eat. When you eat too fast, you totally mess up your digestion. Our body takes about 20 minutes for the brain to know you’re full and if you eat too quickly, you brain can’t keep up.

So now that we know our body needs to be ready, what are a few start somewheres to be able to implement this holiday season? First, always sit down and eat at the table. Turn off electronics and don’t multitask. Second, choose foods to eat that require chewing. Salad is a good example of this. Third, put your utensil down between bites. Lastly, eat with people who also eat slowly. We need to be held accountable.
